Zionsville Whole-Home Renovation
A top-to-bottom renovation of a 1997 faux-Colonial, recomposed as a restrained, modern farmhouse.
The house had good bones and bad everything else. The footprint stayed almost entirely in place — most of the work was about editing: removing three-quarters of the applied trim, opening the second floor to the entry, and calming down the paint palette.
Every room on the first floor was gutted. A new kitchen, scullery, family room, library, and powder room. Upstairs, the primary suite was reimagined as a four-room sequence, and the three children's bedrooms each got private baths.
The exterior was left alone intentionally. From the street it looks like the same house it was. Inside, nothing is familiar.
