Meridian-Kessler is the pocket of north-central Indianapolis where craftsmanship still reads from the street. We've spent years working on the Tudors, Colonial Revivals, and Arts & Crafts homes that define the neighborhood — and the kitchens and baths tucked inside them.
Architectural character
Predominantly 1910s–1940s Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, Craftsman bungalows, and four-square foursquares. Homes range from modest bungalows along the side streets to grand estates on Pennsylvania and Washington Boulevard.
Local notes
The Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association is active and engaged, and several pockets fall inside the Meridian Street Historic District. Any exterior work needs to respect the period, and interior renovations have to navigate plaster walls, knob-and-tube remnants, and foundations that predate modern drainage.
